This event has ended.

This exhibition gathers under one roof paintings and poetry by painters and poets from the Meiji era (late 1800s, early 1900s) to the present day. There is an ancient saying: “Painting is silent poetry, and poetry is painting that speaks.” In fact, many painters write poetry and many poets make paintings. To these artists, poetry and painting are indivisible and the terms “poet” and “painter” exist merely for convenience.
