This event has ended.

Pursuing and championing “Kiuchiism,” a self-coined phrase for his own philosophy, Takashi Kiuchi has produced paintings, sculpture, film, performance art, and other works since graduating from Seian University of Art and Design in 1998. Not bound by methods or materials, his diverse works are made to fit a range of objectives in artistic expression. As extensions of his own interests, concerns, attachments, and delusions, his works also take aim and find humor in the contradictions and problems of institutions such as society and art, as well as our communities. This exhibition presents Takashi Kiuchi’s previous works.
With a critical eye on the overwhelming quantity of events and exhibitions commemorating the 400 Years of the Rimpa School this year, Takashi Kiuchi fabricates and opens his own personal Rimpa 401st Anniversary.
