Kyoto Seika University illustration student Hayato Sakaguchi is influenced by anime, manga, graffiti art, and other examples of contemporary subculture. Here he applies his understanding of “the differences between digital and analog” to the canvas. In his own style of creating collages and paintings with photographs and digital media, Sakaguchi examines the aesthetics of form and reaffirms the connection between digital and analog.
