Following another show last year, this exhibition is the second installment in a series by Moe Iwata and Kaname Kuboki exploring the relationship between the material and time stored as memory within it. Iwata reconstructs time composed of both elements within space in video-centered works exploring the mechanisms of invisible time. Kaname Kuboki, meanwhile, attempts to reveal invisible subjects such as time and psychological structures through objects. Using different materials, each artist systematically decodes and visualizes the structures behind our consciousness. Superimposing the material and the temporal, Iwata and Kuboki reveal internalized time and expressed materiality in the works existing as parallel layers or as combinations. Their two perspectives store and retrieve (a.k.a “page”) the world while constructively analyzing it.
