Motonori Yasunaga Exhibition
Takashimaya Art Gallery Kyoto
"Plums"
This event has ended.
Motonori Yasunaga was born in Fukui Prefecture in 1949 and completed studies of Western-style painting at the Kyoto City University of Arts in 1975. In his straight-forward depictions of lush fruits, lovely flowers, and other familiar motifs from the natural world, Yasunaga seeks a unique form of realism. His first exhibition in three and a half years features fresh still lifes of lemons, peaches, eggplants, and the like, plus paintings of textiles glass, and stone works. Around 20 paintings are displayed.
