Yuriko Sasaoka has won international acclaim for her films incorporating drawing, painting, puppetry, and other forms of theater. Her first exhibition in her hometown of Osaka presents new work created during an artist-in-residency in Macedonia this August. “Japedonia” (Japan/Macedonia) shares her experience living and working as an artist in the city of Skopje through video, installation art, drawings, and a diary.
