Ninety years after the death of Japanese cloisonné artist Yasuyuki Namikawa comes his first ever retrospective exhibition.
Cloisonné enamels gained much popularity in the Meiji era, with Yasuyuki Namikawa as a leading artist with highly detailed works featuring a jet black enamel finish. On display in this exhibition are the much admired works of Yasuyuki Namikawa along with related drawings and documents, timely in the recent revival in interest of Meiji arts and crafts.
