In 2014 Imaemon XIV became the youngest ceramics artist to be designated as a Living National Treasure at the age of 51. His newest overglaze ceramics are on display, along with pieces by his predecessor Imaemon XIII (who became a Living National Treasure in 1989), and other works of Nabeshima ware dating back to the Meiji era.
