Matisse and Rouault – A Story of 50 Year Friendship -
Abeno Harukas Art Museum
This event has ended.
Classmates at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Henri Matisse (1869-1954) and Georges Rouault (1871-1958) were two prominent masters of French modern painting whose personal and professional lives were strongly entwined. In continuous support of each others creative pursuits, this exhibition illustrates the endurance of the friendship of two very different personalities, through the letters that were exchanged during their lasting friendship.
