Since last August, Haps has been hosting “Daily Reserves,” a series of exhibitions curated by Ayako Takemoto which explore the themes of “hunting”, “animal husbandry”, “butchering and dissection”, and “manufacturing and consumption”. This fourth exhibition presents the works of Ayako Fudamoto, a worker for a Japanese bento factory, who assembles large quantities of fake food samples to create installation pieces. Her most recent works consist of sculptures modeled on the human body, which she interprets as a ‘container’ for foodstuffs.
