Textile designs by Maki & Mpho. Raised in America by South African refugee parents, creative director Mpho Muendane’s designs feature simple lines and bold patterns. Each of these handmade works tells a story about Africa from Mpho’s perspective. Textiles and portrait photography from Johannesburg, Kyoto, and other locations are featured. Accessories made in collaboration with Japanese banshu-ori textile artists are also on sale.
