During the Boshin War, Saigo Takamori was an instrumental figure in leading the imperial forces and has become a much admired figure from this Bakumatsu period. Part 1 of this exhibition series focuses on introducing Saigo Takamori and the Satsuma Han through a rich collection of data and materials.
