Sakura Kondo + Carre “Grey Scale”

Two years since “Grey Scale,” a collaborative exhibition between industrial music band Carre and painter Sakura Kondo that took place in Kata Gallery, Tokyo in 2015, the artists join together again this time in Osaka, with another spontaneous audio visual collaboration prompted by Kondo’s request for Carre to produce a mix in the way that one would paint a painting. A result of an ongoing exchange, this exhibition presents neither ‘background music’ for an exhibition nor ‘artwork’ for an album, but sounds and images which stand firm in their own right and as a compliment to the other.
