Posters of Czech, Poland and Hungary
Kyoto Institute of Technology, Arts and Crafts Resource Museum
This event has ended.
For approximately half a century from the end of the Second World War until 1989, the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary were under the influence of the Soviet Union. With free expression severely restricted, the artists of the time worked in the field of graphic design, producing posters and designs for books and editorials, films and theaters, exhibitions and concerts. This exhibition introduces the posters from the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary, which were born out of their respective cultures, linguistics, lifestyles and histories, and the designers that produced them.
