Yakata (also known as Tenniscoats / Saya , Shoji Funakawa) has spent much of 2017 on an unpopulated island in Japan, surrounded by the vast ocean and living within an environment that changes depending on the ebb and flow of the tide. During this 10 day period which can be called neither an exhibition nor a performance, Yakata strives to recreate and portray some of the experiences from this time.
