Since 2014, Mizunoki Museum has been creating digital archives for its nearly 20,000 works. This exhibition looks at how four artists working in different media (painting, photography, film) included in the archives view the museum’s approach to archival work. By “archiving the archives,” it explores the meaning of record keeping and the different possibilities and deeper meanings that arise from the array of documentary media in our information-rich society.
