This event has ended.

How is traditional Japanese architecture portrayed in the country’s world-renowned culture of animation? Japanese buildings are the settings for plenty of drama scenes in the animated films of Studio Ghibli, and this exhibition introduces Japanese architecture appearing in classics such as My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, and Spirited Away with the help of architectural historian Akinobu Fujimori. Illustrations, art boards, backgrounds, and other replicas from the films are displayed, as well as the home in My Neighbor Totoro.
