Seiji Togo (1897-1978) was an artist who took on a variety of creative challenges throughout his life, from avant-garde painting to modern designs of the Showa era and inimitable portraits of women, which combined beauty and lyricism. The exhibition will showcase and explore Togo’s excellent and rare pieces with a focus on his work up to the late 1950s when he established his unique style called the “Togo style”.
