Museum in The Kobe area
The Kobe City Museum is located facing Kyomachi suji, Kobe's most vibrant street. Many foreign tourists visited Kobe, and the city flourished and expanded during the Meiji period and after. The museum absorbed the former archaeology museum and art museum, and opened its doors to the public in 1982 as a museum focusing on the humanities.
