Since opening in 1983, Kyoto Gallery Shirakawa has exhibited prints and oil paintings by Japanese and international contemporary artists including John Cage, Antony Gormley, Sol LeWitt, and Anish Kapoor. In the two-story building, solo shows and group exhibitions are held on the first floor, and the gallery's permanent collection, including prints by Funakoshi Katsura, are displayed on the second floor.
