This event has ended.

This exhibition celebrates Gassan's 100th birthday and Hirase's 100th anniversary since he passed away; both artists had a strong connection with Osaka.
Roko Hirose (1839-1908) contributed in promoting art, tea ceremony, and Noh in Osaka. Sadaichi Gassan (1907-1995) was a swordsmith from the Osaka Gassan school, the big school of Japanese swords, and a holder of the Cultural Asset (living national treasure).
Both figures were strong supporters of cultural activities in modern Osaka. The exhibition features references and related works that introduce their cultural powers. The exhibition will be divided into two sessions.
