Yuji Izuno’s sculptures, words, and presence leave deep impressions upon the soul, as if one is embarking on a pilgrimage with him. He chisels out the contours of the soul in exchanges with the wood he works with. The pure and beautiful forms of his work convey a clear and calm hope. Listening closely, one can make out a faint, strange sound, as if reaching a fork in the road.
