Churo Sato “Clothing the Body”

While many associate sculptures with female nudes, this exhibition presents bronze figures dressed in clothing. Nudes have been a life-long motif of Churo Sato’s works, but he has also created some pieces wearing clothing. His “Hats” series in particular has won acclaim. In addition to presenting the full “Hats” series from the museum’s collection, this show lets visitors not only view but also touch bronze sculptures.
