Displaying Shiga Prefecture artists’ works of Art Brut – works by artists without formal artistic education or training, stemming from the human impulse to create and made without desire for exhibition or acclaim. The works of artists with disabilities form one branch of the Art Brut, and this exhibition focuses on the unique history of creative activity at welfare institutions in Shiga Prefecture.
