These lead works by Shigenaga Yahara craft images of time and conceptually represent nuclear power and the Great East Japan Earthquake. In the “Seal” series, the words of the artist’s poetry collection are sealed in lead. Finally, the “Border Lines” series explores the theme of bases. Combining poetry and sculpture, these works confront the contemporary age in avant-garde style while entering philosophical territory.
