"In the Forest" Exhibition

In the forest, the chain of life and birth revolve below and above ground. This never-ending cycle tells us the mysteries of life and the structures of the universe. Wakayama prefecture is a place where people can interact with nature, with enriching forests, the Kumano-kodo (old street), and is home to the Kumagusu Minakata.
This exhibition is held in conjunction with two other museums in Wakayama prefecture: Tanabe City Museum of Art and Kumanokodo Nakahechi Museum. Exhibited works include paintings, sculptures, photographs, and sound art by artists who listen and realize voices of the forest.
