Media: Installation, Art Talk, Art Competition

The "Art Contest at Kyoto Art Center 2008" attempts to find and introduce young artists. This exhibition features one of the two artists that were selected out of a pool of 107 by Akira Tatehata, the director of The National Museum of Art, Osaka.
This exhibition features an installation that employs salt crystallized from sea water. The string that is gaudily ornamented by crystallizing sodium reminds us of how the earth is a product of water and the accumulation of time.
