Eimu Arino "Nameless Earth Works: American Edition"
Osaka Nikon Salon
This event has ended.
In contemporary art, there are artists who have dug the earth, collected it, inspected it and created 'works' by carving their own ideas into it. These works are called "earth works". However, when one comes across scenes in every day life that could be categorized as "earth works," these are not the works of famous artists: they are unconscious artistic acts that "nameless" people have undertaken, perhaps recognized as art only by the people who created them. The Japanese shoreline, national highway routes and Mediterranean Sea versions have been covered in the "Nameless Earth Works" series. This exhibition covers "nameless earth works" found across the vast American plains. 50 color photographs.
