This exhibition presents original illustrations by director Andrzej Wajda, celebrating his new position as Honorary Chairman of the Osaka European Film Festival.
The 70 original illustrations are Wajda's foundation for the compositions and images in his films including "Kanal", "Ashes and Diamonds", "A Chronicle of Amorous Incidents", "Korczak", "Nastasja", and "The Holy Week".
Also, this year marks the 50th diplomatic anniversary between Poland and Japan. The exhibition offers opportunities to appreciate his work that captures Poland's complex history, as well as the relationship between history and the future, a common theme in Wajda's works.
