The Japanese live in a rather peaceful time without war. This is because during the Showa period, especially around World War II, people went through great sufferings to rebuild the nation. Beginning this year, the national holiday on 4/29 has been called "Showa Day" instead of "Green Day". The exhibition celebrates the change and looks at children's lives during the Showa period.
