"Let's Go Laos" Exhibition

This exhibition features about 50 black and white photographs by four artists of different generations - Masayoshi Nishida (20s), Akira Nakashima (30s), Furio Tsujimoto and Chu (50s). They each visited different villages in Laos and photographed the forgotten essence of happiness. With a fund-raising campaign, the gallery collected about 500,000 yen which included 249,000 yen from a charity party and a photographic exhibition, "Eyes in Laos" last year. This project is about to build school in Pontian village, 100km north from the capital Vientiane.
The collected money is for purchasing materials for building a school in Pontian village composed of 617 people of the Akha and Lao tribes. The gallery seeks volunteers to help to build the school in Laos with the village in December.
