"Ise Cotton" Exhibition
This event has ended.
At Paramita Museum
Media: Product, Crafts
Ise cotton is cultivated in the area between Kuwana and the Ise plains. Although cotton's characteristics have not changed much in terms of weaving patterns, there is still a wide variety due to a diversity in string quality and dye methods. Ise cotton is made with single strings made with good quality cotton. Hence, the Ise cotton rarely wrinkles and has a soft texture. The exhibition features various objects and items made with Ise cotton.
