"At first glance, our works may lack a connection. After a while, the connection may become apparent.
In general, all of our works pertain to the idea of memory-memory or sounds that repeat over and over. We try to acknowledge the present, but acknowledgment fades with time. Each memory tries to reflect the one preceding it, but then it becomes a memory trapped in the present. A paradox occurs, as memory becomes a bigger abstraction.
The 'present' that is remembered and captured in my work is only partial. I ask myself repeatedly, what is the 'present' and what its relation to memory is."
