This event has ended.

When we look at artworks and historical materials, we first think about its artists and authors. However, we should also pay attention to people who played the important role in the development of art. For example, western-style art in the Edo period could not exist without the influence of Dutch Studies. The collectors' passion contributed a great deal as well.
This exhibition introduces the genre of exotic art in Japan based on biographies of artists, politicians, scholars, and collectors. The certified national treasure "Portrait of Nobunaga Oda" and other important pieces will be on display.
*Exhibiting at 2F Nanban Art Exhibition Room

*Lecture by curator: March 29th (Sat) 13:00-
