"I Meet..." Exhibition

Contemporary Art Space Osaka

poster for "I Meet..." Exhibition

This event has ended.

The exhibition features collaborative work by pairs of artists: Imamura and Mori, Inagaki and Uematsu, Maeda and Twin Widows. Each group shares the exhibition space, and will display an interesting balance of work.

Inagaki and Uematsu: Tomoko Inagaki's film installation that deals with contemporary society transcends the boundary between the real and surreal. On the other hand, Takuma Uematsu uses people and animals as motifs and through sculpture, photography and installation, juxtaposes these organic shapes with contemporary society. A collaborative film installation and objects used will be on display.

Imamura and Mori: They transform trivial materials to non-ordinary objects, and intersperse them in the entire room. The room itself is suggested as a work of art.

Maeda and Twin Widows: The artists transform the exhibition space into a personal bedroom of two twin sisters. The large round bed placed in the room is reminiscent of that of a baby's. With paintings and sculptures, the exhibition features a narrative of the violent yet attractive twin sisters.
