It is a well-known fact among fans that Osamu Tezuka's original works have many modifications, such as cut and paste, correcting with whiteout, and rearranging frames. This is a result of Tezuka’s passion towards making the best works possible.
In addition, his works that have appeared as a series in publications are also vastly modified when released as a comic book. Tezuka understood that in a cartoon series on magazines or newspapers, one must include some triggers to entice the readers to buy the next issue. Whereas in comic books, the readers expect a different pace in narrative compared to other publications. The exhibition features Tezuka’s original drafts that have gone through this rigorous process.
