Nikon publishes the "Top Eye" magazine in the aim of raising awareness of photography amongst high school and junior high school students, and since 1979 until the present has sent the magazine free of charge to around 7000 school's photography clubs across the whole country.
As well as being a forum for news and reports, the magazine also holds a competition called "Photo Photo Salon" four times a year for students' work, and a similar competition for teachers once a year. This exhibition features the award-winning pieces from that competition.
