This event has ended.

Maps come in different forms, sizes, and purposes; there are those that are used in schools to teach children how to navigate, and those that are used as motifs on products for their design factor. During the Edo period, people were fascinated by its pattern. To introduce a few, ceramics and mirrors that were decorated with maps were produced, along with paper maps that featured trivia and games. The exhibition introduces viewers to a wide array of maps, regardless of medium.
