This year, the Index exhibition marks its fourth year. Its aim is to promote young talent and has been held in Kyoto and Tokyo.
The theme for this year is "destroy" - when hearing this word, we often think of the act of destruction in war and in environmental issues. However to destroy can also refer to accepting alternative views to a common principle, and in essence, destroying preconceptions. The exhibition features artists that engage in this kind of act through their art works.
