Akiko Yosano and Her Era Part 2: A Glimpse into Daily Life during the Meiji and Taisho Periods

This exhibition explores the profilic writer and poet Akiko Yosano (1878-1942) and the era in which she lived.
Despite her feminist principles, Yosano was a hard-working mother of eleven children and believed that “doing household chores is a woman’s duty” - an attitude that is little known about. On display in this exhibition will be 60 items from Yosano’s household that she used and admired in her daily life.
