Exhibition of serving dishes and other utensils from the collection of Yuki Teiichi: a legendary chef, tea expert and founder of kaiseki restaurant, Kitcho. Yuki understood well the importance of the vessels in which to serve kaiseki cuisine, studying the tea ceremony journals of the great tea masters such Sen no Rikyu and setting a new standard of aesthetics. Visitors to Kitcho today are presented with beautiful and refined ceramic wares from Oribe and Sometsuke porcelain to Raku-yaki, that complement the seasonality of the food. This exhibition in two parts features 70 ceramic pieces from Yuki Teiichi’s collection.
