Kim Kwang-Nam “Control”
En Arts
This event has ended.
Kim photographs everyday scenery and adheres the images as a silk screen onto supporting mediums such as paper, canvas, and panels using paraffin. Kim then uses a unique technique in which heat is applied to the piece, which results in the lines of the silk screen dissolving, The resulting monochrome landscape is entirely a product of chance, and creates a sense of disturbance in a previously tranquil scene.
