“The Collection 2014”

To welcome in the new year Itami City Museum of Art presents an exhibition showcasing select works from its collection over two distinct themes.
Room 1 takes the theme of “dekobako”, meaning textured roughness, including the work of Honoré-Victorin Daumier, along with many other genres of work which through their medium, visual effect and motif give rise to the sense of texture.
Room 2 presents Goya’s “The Disasters of War” with a set of 80 copperplate prints documenting the horrors of the Peninsula War of 1808–14.
