This event has ended.

Of 10,000 species of seaweed in the world, about 1,500 are grown in Japan. Wakame, Konbu and nori are widely eaten, yet many other types of seaweed remain unknown. This exhibition is a chance to learn more about this curious algae and other underwater sea plants. On display will be 250 items including samples and Meiji-era botanical drawings and photography.
