This event has ended.

Saori Miyake creates photograms, whereby she first draws an image on a sheet of transparent paper, and places that on a monochrome photographic paper, which develops the image when exposed to light - a method that takes many attempts to achieve the desired effect. Motifs prevalent in her works are old snaps and casual shots of friends, but have been copied freehand. The resulting pieces are somewhere between a monochrome photograph and a drawing where the scene depicted seems unreal, much like perhaps how each of us remember certain events, not with the clarity of a photograph.
