Tadasu Takamine ‘Japan Syndrome’ series explores perspectives on the Fukushima disaster. In the film version of the series, produced in several Japanese cities and Berlin, Takamine interviews people in stores and on the street about the aftermath of the nuclear accident, then films reenactments of the conversations in the studio with actors. Looking at Japan from a distance, this work questions the idea of “who we are today”.
