The 8th Awagami Print Expression exhibition continues in its ongoing endeavor to promote the traditional medium of washi in contemporary society, including new combinations with digital technology printing processes, including ink jet printing. In this exhibition 8 artists utilize Awaji ink jet paper as a base for sculpture, photography, drawing, woodblock printing and lithography, pointing to the new possibilities which arise from the collaboration of traditional materials and the latest technological techniques.
