An exhibition of pieces from the museum collections on two contrasting themes aimed at stimulating the curious mind. Room 1 showcases works of various genres from oil painting to print and sculpture on the theme of geometric shapes — circle, triangle and square — including Dufy’s “Amphitrite dans le port de Marseille” and Kumi Sugai’s “Star” Series. Room 2 explores the history of the modern picture book through displays of 19th century English printed books and literature, including the influential satire, “Punch”, founded in 1841.
