This event has ended.

Since opening in 2005 the Museum of Ceramic Art, Hyogo has built a collection of 1700 examples of ceramics stretching from the Jomon period to the present day, built upon the collection of the former Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Ceramic Art and now under the title of the Kan Tanaka Collection this archive of ceramics focuses upon Shigaraki-yaki ware and other historic ceramics developed within Hyogo prefecture. The Museum endeavors to regularly extend this collection and frequently exhibits its new acquisitions to the public, taking particular care of ceramic ware from the “Six Old Kilns of Japan” and colorful ceramics which became popular from the later modern era.
