The theme of this year’s contest for amateur photographers and high school students is “capturing the present from your own perspective.” The winning photographs portray everything from human relations to political and economic conditions, with subjects including the transformations of cities and farming communities, traditional ways of life in rural locations, and nature in Japan. A total of 157 works are on display.
